Text: Acts 4:1-22
Assurance means certain expectation or freedom from doubt. There is something to be said for those who are confident in their endeavors. This passage not only says that we can have assurance but FULL assurance! There is a high level of confidence in this passage. Where did this confidence originate? After all Peter and John were fisherman, yet they were speaking to a large audience of common men and the ruling elite. Where did these ordinary men get their extraordinary message and assurance?
Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”
They had seen Jesus die, they had seen him laid in the tomb… but most importantly they saw the risen Savior! These fishermen would have just kept on fishing if Jesus had not risen from the dead and showed up on the shore cooking fish that He created. The resurrection was the defining moment that gave them FULL ASSURANCE.
He lives today! Do you have full assurance? Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? You can know Him and the power of His resurrection! Read more here. Give us a call or visit a service. We would love to share more with you about our Savior!
